the last photo from flight 195

i'm dropping the word "doomed." there are a couple of super bad ass
TSAs (or something) standing by the gate ... i don't want to feed them.

pic of the day (10) -- AYCJ

this is *exactly* the color of the water today ... i wasn't sure i could capture it, but i played around with the color settings on my camera a bit and got it.

there's a beauty in the world if you just choose to look the right way ... but you already know that.

all-you-can-jet -- day 10 -- 9 beaches; bermuda

short post today because it's all about transit.

got up early (and not at all crispy) to make a shuttle/ferry/bus combo for the airport.  everything ran clockwork smooth.

nice ferry ride on a big catamaran.  got a chance to see the far side of the island/country.

at the airport, there was a super-cute and hyper-enthusiastic AYCJer from san diego in front of me that started up a conversation based on my shirt.  while i was rattling away with her about the joys of costa rica, my accomplice was chatting up a woman from bermuda that also had an AYCJ pass (she'd gotten her pass and then immediately got a job to where she couldn't use it ... still weekends are a great deal for her, it's typically $350 round to get off the island and back).

look!  here she is now!  (she asked for pix first, i'm not a "hey baby, let me shoot you" kind-of-guy.)

if i knew a shirt of my design was going to attract that kind of attention, i woulda gone into graphic design instead of, say, mathematics.

the flight was quick and uneventful, assuming you don't count the 75+ dutch horndog across the asile that was trying to go every which way with his 35 year-old spinner (no comments, please).

my camera has an aerial photography setting, believe it or not, so here's a couple:

there was a four hour layover at JFK (that's where i'm typing this to you now), but the ebb and flow of the day wasn't quite right to run off the airport and get something tasty (especially when you consider that i have great pastrami at my very next destination) ... so i ordered the lunch of champions ... that's right, udon and a maple donut.

the udon was good, but the tofu was awful -- it'd been cooked in oil that was going bad.  god knows i've eaten far better semi-asian in my lifetime.  and the donut was at least as tasty as it looks here.

on to vegas this eve, but it'll be gone midnight by the time i get off the plane, so you get this shorty for today.  bigger, bolder and more surprising tomorrow, i promise.

day 10 AM -- AYCJ
