after three hours of sleep i'm up and out at 05:15 on nearly full auto-pilot. although my flight's at 07:10, i make only with enough time to sit, literally, less than a minute before i board.
i sleep or am zombified until i get to JFK. my accomplice bagged out to CA a couple of days ago and we're going to meet back up here. i thought i was going to get in first by about three hours, but i think i confused it with another plane schedule and in less than 15 minutes we had reconvened and picked a strategy ... we were going to be spending the night with mr. crypto, so we'd take the subway to his place, drop our bags and head to di fara for what is supposed to be the best pizza in NYC.
quick conversations with mr. and mrs. crytpo and the obligatory subway ride lead us to discover, that's right, di fara are closed on monday and tuesday.
so here we are, sitting in NYC, one of the truly great culinary cities of the world and i feel so broken that i suggest grabbing yogurt and fruit at the local market and taking it back to the cryptos. my accomplice grudgingly accepts and back we go.
that's the bad news.
the good news is we had a really nice conversation with the cryptos (including things like recalling, in detail, the double down sandwich).
short day today because of all the raw body movement.
tomorrow will be the same as we head to new orleans.
